Today’s DS106 assignment was to create a social media platform for a historical figure. I chose George Washington, since he was one of the first to pop into my head. Also, something that always stuck with me about Washington is that he implored the American people to NOT create political parties. He thought it would cause disunity between us, and look at what happened.

I thought that with current events today, this Tweet might have been funny. And since he is the first George I think of when someone says the name “George”, I made his Twitter username @theOGGeorge. I thought that was a little funny.
